The American education complex has grown as muddled as the military-industrial complex. We need to get government out of education for good.

At the university level, the unchecked student loan program has made a 4-year degree a more expensive option than ever. Meanwhile, the educational landscape is evolving. Alex Dodenhoff will work to rebuild a competitive education marketplace by lowering and rebalancing the education budget towards other valid and cheaper options, including online courses, vocational training, apprenticeships, and competency-based education.
